Job summary

Young Living Essential Oils is seeking a mid-level Data Analyst to independently analyze diverse data sets, identify trends, and deliver executive-ready reports and dashboards. You will collaborate across departments to interpret KPIs and influence business outcomes.

The role involves building self-serve BI tools, supporting campaigns, and presenting actionable insights to upper management. A strong foundation in Excel, SQL, and BI dashboards is required.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in business analytics or a related quantitative role.
  • Proficiency in Excel and intermediate SQL.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing metrics and their influence on business outcomes.
  • Experience with AI tools for analytics is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze structured and unstructured data using Excel and SQL to support decisions across marketing, sales, and operations.
  • Create presentations, graphics, and reports summarizing key insights.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of company metrics, sales drivers, and KPIs.
  • Provide analysis supporting campaigns, events, and initiatives.
  • Execute analytic projects to support company growth and retention strategies.
  • Support data quality efforts by flagging inconsistencies and helping document known issues.
  • Conduct moderately complex analyses such as correlation, trend forecasting, and variance analysis to inform strategy.
  • Design, build, and maintain recurring dashboards or self-service tools using BI platforms.
  • Extract, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple systems to ensure consistency and usability.
  • Present findings to upper management using well-structured reports and visuals.
  • Provide actionable insights related to company KPIs, trends, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate across departments to support strategic data needs.
  • Develop tools to facilitate business users' own analysis through AI tools

Summary

Required Education and Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analytics or a related quantitative role.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet this requirement.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Accounting, or related field.
Supervisory Responsibility

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, and photocopiers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Employees are also expected to work at the annual company convention.

Exact hour requirements can be reasonably modified as necessary for the business needs by the employee’s manager.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and occasionally lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.
