Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Analyst to transform complex data into actionable insights and guide clients through data-rich environments.

You will collaborate with analysts, data engineers, developers, and clients in an Agile setting to design and maintain scalable data platforms and deliver meaningful findings that influence mission outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience with data visualization techniques and tools (Power BI/Tableau/Microsoft Fabric).
  • Experience with SQL, R, or Python for data analysis and statistics.
  • Experience analyzing data sets to spot trends and translate into insights.
  • Experience with data validation and cleaning to ensure data quality.
  • Knowledge of automation to tighten data workflows.
  • Knowledge of applying statistical techniques to large datasets.
  • Bachelor's degree; Secret clearance preferred.

Data Analyst
The Opportunity

As a Data Analyst, you enjoy diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges.

As a client-facing data analyst on our team, you'll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, Agile environment. You'll use your knowledge in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. You will also work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, but you'll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to impact missions.

You Have
  • Experience with data visualization techniques and tools, including Power BI, Tableau or Microsoft Fabric, and Spark or PySpark for data analysis
  • Experience with structured data using tools, including SQL, R, or Python programming languages, data visualization software, and statistical analysis
  • Experience analyzing data sets to spot trends and patterns that can be translated into actionable insights
  • Experience with statistics and statistical software, including Excel
  • Experience in data validation and cleaning to ensure the quality and integrity of data
  • Knowledge of automation and how to tighten work processes into a true flow
  • Knowledge of how to apply statistical analysis techniques to large datasets
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing Microsoft 365 power applications
  • Experience with development in Maven Smart System (MSS)
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Experience with working on real-time data and streaming applications

  • Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of IoT and sensor data into usable formats
  • Ability to communicate technical information and recommendations to peers, engineers, and analytic customers

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.

Work Model
  • Remote: If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: If this position is listed as hybrid, you will be expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, in alignment with leadership expectations and the needs of the role. You may also be required to work from or visit a customer facility.
  • Onsite: If this position is listed as onsite, work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where employees will collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.
