• Run, export and review reports and data within the system.
• Create and run basic SQL/SAS queries and understand data models in assigned focus area.
• Develop basic data visualizations and dashboards using PowerBI or Excel.
• Provide report training and assist with report scoping and requirements.
• Maintain Analytics catalog, reporting portals and DHS tools as needed.

Please review the job information below.*GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOBAt this level, Data Analysts learn and perform specialized systems and reporting tasks, under supervision, with some latitude for independent action. The objectives at this level are simple report writing, data validation, and end user education.Incumbents report to the Alternative Payment Strategies Manager and will be assigned a focus area: Hospital/Clinics (with focus on Financial, Operational and Clinical Areas) or Health Plan within the Driscoll Health System (DHS).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Follows the Driscoll Way with communication, end user engagement, and customer service at all times.2. Follows all guidelines for PHI and data management.3. Ability to run, export and review reports and data within.4. Create and run basic SQL/SAS query and has understanding of data models within their assigned focus area.5. Is or becomes proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, Power Query, Dashboards, etc.6. Engagement with end users: provide report training, assist with reportscoping/requirements, helps generate report specifications and checklists.7. Maintains and assists teams with Alternative Payment Strategies Department website, Analytics catalog, Reporting portals, etc.8. Can build simple reports in SSMS/SSRS, Epic, maintains incentive model (letter and forms), or other DHS software tools.9. Learns and develops basic knowledge/skills for Data Visualizations (PowerBI,SlicerDicer, Radar Dashboards, Excel Dashboards)10. This position has the opportunity to advance into a Business Intelligence Developer or Advanced Healthcare Data Analyst position.11. Performs other related work as required.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEAny combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, Degree in related field preferred (Degree in the fields such as Finance, Statistics, Data Mining and Analytics, Clinical Analytics, or Health Care Administration)- Familiarity in analytics, report development, data visualization applications or other data tools is favored.
