You do not need to have law firm experience, although familiarity with professional services or consulting environments is a plus.

You will be responsible for managing and strengthening the firm’s technology systems and for helping us extract meaningful insights from our operational, financial, and practice‑related data. You’ll work closely with leadership as well as attorneys and administrative team members, ensuring that our data analysis efforts run smoothly on a day‑to‑day basis while also contributing to longer‑term data strategy and improvements. You should be a self‑motivated, highly detail‑oriented team player excited to tackle firm challenges to strategize and implement data‑driven solutions to enable the business to derive valuable insights.

What You’ll be Doing
  • Review and help build complex data sets and create meaningful analytics (through visuals, statistical analysis, or as marketing points) with Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Prepare guides and actively advise members of the firm on best practices regarding data management and recommend services as best fit
  • Work with the Partners to custom design and maintain the firm’s workflow management software (Clio) in order to effectively collect and track data, work streams and productivity
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics to support financial analysis, matter management, and internal planning
  • Clean, structure, and analyze data from multiple sources to help clients and the firm identify market trends and opportunities
  • Recommend and implement improvements to workflows, systems, and data processes
  • Ensure data security best practices and assist in compliance initiatives
  • Oversee and maintain the firm’s data retention policies, data segregation and ethical walls and backups, including iManage file organization
  • Assist with responding to client audits, RFP’s and SLA compliance
  • Other job‑related duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration, and/or technical troubleshooting
  • Strong competency with Excel, Power BI and other analytics tools used to work with data
  • CLIO and iManage experience helpful, but not necessary. These are the two primary software platforms in use by the firm.
  • Interest in law, data work, puzzles, or fixing problems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to function in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment, prioritize multiple projects on a daily basis, and adjust to shifting priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a professional manner
