Job summary

mysitec Cyber Data Analysis Engineer role in the United States (Virginia) focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines and platforms that support enterprise cybersecurity investigations. You will design, implement, and troubleshoot data pipelines, support ingestion and log management, monitor data flow health, and coordinate upgrades

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems/ platform engineering or similar experience.
• Advanced Linux skills with Windows knowledge.
• Strong networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, IP, load balancers, firewalls).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, XenServer).
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Ability to obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 120 days.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, time-management, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain the data pipelines and platforms that support enterprise cybersecurity investigations. This role combines SIEM engineering, systems administration, data integration, and operational troubleshooting across Linux, Windows, virtualized, and cloud environments.

What You Will Do

• Resolve complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Maintain secure configurations, patches, documentation, and change records.

What You Bring

• At least five years of systems engineering, platform engineering, or similar experience.
• Advanced Linux skills and working knowledge of Windows systems.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, load balancers, firewalls, and enterprise networking.
• Experience with VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, XenServer, or similar virtualization platforms.
• Current DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Ability to obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 120 days.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, time-management, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Splunk, Elastic, ArcSight, Cribl, or similar platforms.
• AWS, public cloud, OpenStack, or private cloud experience.
• Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
