Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC International is seeking a Data & AI Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Houston, TX. This in-office program blends hands-on data engineering, AI, and analytics with mentorship from experienced engineers and project leaders.

You'll design and develop internal applications, work with REST APIs and data platforms, and participate in CI/CD workflows and agile delivery. The internship runs mid-May to early August with a hybrid schedule in our Houston corporate office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 60 complete hours from an accredited college or university.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Pursuing a degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Application Development – Design, develop, test, and enhance internal applications using React, Node.js, and Python.
• AI-Assisted Software Engineering – Use AI copilots to accelerate code generation, debugging, and testing while learning validation practices.
• API & Data Integration – Develop and consume REST APIs and integrate applications with enterprise data platforms.
• Testing, CI/CD & DevOps – Contribute to automated testing, code quality checks, and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Agile Team Delivery – Participate in requirements refinement, design, sprint activities, and delivery of features.
