The Brattle Group, a globally recognized economics consulting firm, is seeking an early-career Data & AI Engineer to join our Boston, MA office. You’ll work across data engineering, analytics, ML, and AI-enabled workflows, staying close to implementation while learning how technical choices affect client work.

As part of Brattle’s Data & AI Engineering team, you’ll collaborate with economists and consultants, grow practical judgment, and contribute to reusable tools, templates, and training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 0–3 years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics, or ML.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in ambiguous problems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, inspect, clean, reconstruct, and validate data from varied sources.
• Use Python, SQL, notebooks, and version control to build reproducible workflows.
• Identify data limitations, quality issues, and blockers early.
• Support applied analytics, ML, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Contribute to workflows involving text extraction, embeddings, and model evaluation.
• Communicate progress and technical findings clearly to stakeholders.
