Communication Technology Services (CTS) is one of the largest integrators and managed service providers for enterprise cellular networks in the U.S., specializing in the design, installation and support of Distributed Antenna System (DAS), Small Cell, and 4G/5G Private Wireless Networks for Enterprise.
We are seeking DAS Technicians to work in the South Florida region. Candidates must be able to commute to Pompano, FL, and regional travel is a requirement. 50%-75% of travel within the South Florida area is required. Entry‑level candidates are welcome and will receive on‑the‑job training. Experienced Technician II/III with DAS experience are also welcome.
Responsibilities
- 2 to 5 years in the industry or equivalent experience as DAS Technician I
- Ability to follow direction of Field Manager/Project Manager
- Lead and direct Technicians and Apprentices in all aspects of DAS installation
- Manage daily installation quality and schedule
- Transport materials
- Conduct site walk for small venues, retail stores
- Document site walks for future bidding
- Pull both coax and fiber
- Accept direction and make good decisions when working independently
- Expert at coax cable termination
- Proficient with PIM & sweep testing of both coax and fiber
- Operate and understand all functions of Anritsu Site Master and test equipment
- Basic understanding of frequency band, protocols and terminology
- Possess building‑code knowledge to ensure fully compliant installation
- Read IBW design documentation and understand installation components
- Operate fusion splicing and fiber optic testing
- Understand troubleshooting philosophies and procedures
- Understand commissioning and tuning philosophies
- Collect data and pictures for close‑out package
- Basic understanding of all CTS products and services
- Manage timesheets of team as needed
- Valid driver’s license and unblemished driving record if a company vehicle is issued
- Physical ability to carry tools, materials and ladders; climb ladders; lift up to 50 lb as needed; complete other required physical tasks
Pay rate of $20‑30 hourly, commensurate with experience.
