Job summary

Communication Technology Services (CTS) is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support our rapidly growing Southern CA Region. This role leads Field Manager staff, conducts field inspections, and ensures schedule, quality, safety, and scope reporting align with project plans.

Ideal candidates have CM II level experience or FM III leadership, and will develop project schedules and budgets, prepare closeout packages, and manage CTS design and field inputs while maintaining strong

Responsibilities

• Receive and approve timecards.
• Review daily reports from field technicians.
• Conduct field inspections to verify progress, quality, safety and scope.
• Schedule field managers.
• Train field managers and technicians.
• Manage assigned projects from start to finish.
• Develop project schedules and budgets to meet goals.
• Prepare project closeout packages and submit to customer.
• Understand iBwave designs and produce small project designs.
• Produce quote books / bills of materials from design docs and field input.
• Ensure CTS safety compliance and QA/QC across projects.
• Provide weekly status updates on financials of all projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Construction Manager is responsible for the training, project assignment and project performance of the Field Manager staff in a given region. This will include making field inspections to verify that the schedule, quality, scope, site safety and all reporting is accurate and in line with what is being published to the project team.

Requisite to becoming CM II is having served as an FMIII for a minimum of 2 years and/or demonstrating all of the skill and leadership abilities for the FM III Position. A person must be endorsed by a PM III or a Market Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Receipt Review and approval of timecards.
• Review of Daily Reports from Field Technicians
• Field Inspections to confirm Daily Reports
  • Progress, Quality, Safety & Scope.
• Scheduling Field Managers.
• Training of Field Managers.
• Training of Field Technicians.
• Responsible for the assigned projects from start to finish.
• Proficiency at project estimates & project scope.
• Developing Project Schedules & Budgets to meet required goals.
• Complete the project progress updates as required for jobs assigned.
• Working knowledge of the financial progress of assigned projects by using spectrum and tracking reports.
• Project closeout package preparation and submittal to customer.
• Fully understand iBwave design files used to build a project.
• Ability to complete iBwave designs for small size projects.
• Proficient at producing a quote book / bill of materials for assigned projects based on design documents, walk notes and field input.
• Elementary knowledge to turn-up, and commission, hardware for the assigned projects.
• Safety Compliance monitoring and documentation.
• QA/QC of all projects assigned to meet CTS standards.
• Weekly Reports/Updates on the financial statues of all projects.
• Complete understanding of CTS Products and Services.
• Sales / Customer Relations Management of projects assigned, including updates on project status.
• Proficiency in production of fiber diagrams, rack elevations, RF plumbing diagrams, block diagrams, and link budgets.

Commensurate based upon experience $90k-$130k/Annually
