Job summary

Language Trainers is seeking a native Danish speaker or qualified teacher for a part-time, freelance role in Washington, DC. The client is a beginner adult (65+) seeking to learn Danish to communicate with family in Denmark. Sessions are once weekly, two hours, in-person at the trainer's office preferred.

Ideal candidates include those with teaching qualifications and ability to work legally in the United States; hourly rate is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Native Danish speaker or qualified Danish language teacher.
• Experience as language teacher, translator, or interpreter preferred.
• Must have valid work permit/visa or legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one Danish lessons to a 65+ beginner student in Washington, DC.
• Adapt materials to language level and goals; schedule weekly sessions.
• Maintain progress notes and communicate with client as needed.

Position Details

We are currently looking for a Danish Teacher for one of our clients in Washington, United States.

• Location: We would prefer the trainer's office, Washington DC
• Student Level: Beginner
• Student Age Group: 65 and over
• Schedule: once per week, (Wednesdays work best.Morning would be first choice; afternoon second.)

• Motivation: Our daughter and her family live in Denmark and we would like to be able to speak and understand Danish with family members when we visit.

Ideal Candidate

• Be a native Danish speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
• Have a valid work permit/visa
• Live within 20 miles of the specified location
