FedEx Logistics in Cheyenne is seeking a part-time Dangerous Goods Agent to ensure safe and legal handling of dangerous goods and related paperwork, with spill cleanup responsibilities. The role supports compliance with FMCSA guidance and requires basic training in dangerous goods procedures.
The position is driving-related and part-time, with afternoon hours 1:30pm–6:00pm. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and prior safety or shipping experience is preferred.
Ensures safe and legal handling of dangerous goods and related paperwork; to perform safe spill clean up ensuring personnel and equipment are free from contamination. Performs other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma/GED
Six (6) months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred. Experience with computer, i.e., mainframe, pc, internet/intranet preferred.
Related knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages strongly preferred. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for dangerous goods. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Must be able to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables, and effectively communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner in a noisy operations environment. Current DG certification preferred. If required to drive company vehicles or motorized conveyances as a regular part of job, must possess valid driver's license. If required to perform the spill clean-up function, must complete all basic and re-currency training for spill clean-up. Non-covered safety sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
