Hosts will be expected to work 100 hours during high season. Work days depend on event days and usually fall between Wednesdays and Sundays, with mandatory training held in July/August.
Primary responsibilities
- Organize and host dance workshops in your community
- Coordinate dance lessons and field trips
- Create and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment for everyone
- Maintain punctual communication with DancingLuau coordinators and facilitators
- Implement DancingLuau curriculum accurately and on time
- Responsible for set-up, take-down, and clean-up of program spaces
- Assist with the facilitation and coordination of special events
Qualifications
- A great sense of humor
- 1–2 years experience working with children/adults
- 48 college credits from an accredited college or university (preferred)
- Own a laptop and have reliable transportation daily
- Bi-lingual in Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Tagalog, Chinese, or Hawaiian is a plus
