Battle Mountain High School seeks a Head Dance Coach to lead the athletic program, teach core skills, and foster a positive team culture. You will promote sportsmanship and personal development while overseeing a supportive staff and ensuring safety and compliance.

You will coordinate practices, games, and events, manage equipment and budgets, and communicate expectations to students, parents, and administration. Strong leadership and CHSAA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Meets CHSAA certification requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, lead, and supervise a comprehensive athletic program.
• Previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport.
• Strong knowledge of sport-specific techniques, strategies, and current best practices.
• Knowledge of CHSAA rules and regulations.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the program philosophy, skills, and instructional techniques.
• Manage program budget; collaborate with Athletic Director on budget needs.
• Recommend equipment specifications; oversee purchasing, inventory and accountability.
• Organize and supervise all practices, contests, and program activities; adhere to schedules.
• Ensure compliance with CHSAA policies and required documentation.
• Provide leadership to assistants and staff; evaluate performance.
• Maintain positive relations with parents, staff, and community.
