Job summary

The UNCG School of Dance seeks a Dance Technical Coordinator for a full-time 9-month appointment to oversee all production aspects for the school. The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the technical and artistic aspects of lighting and production for dance and possess strong artistic collaboration skills.

Primary duties include designing lights for faculty and student choreographic works, instructing undergraduate and graduate Dance Production courses, and

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree and two years of professional production experience.
• Experience teaching post-secondary or college-level students.
• Experience with production organization and management, including scheduling student labor and prioritizing multiple projects.
• Operating and maintaining stage lighting and lighting systems.
• Operating and maintaining stage sound and sound systems.

Responsibilities

• Design lights for faculty and student choreographic works.
• Instruct undergraduate and graduate Dance Production courses.
• Manage undergraduate student stage crew practicums.
