Shining Stars Dance Academy in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an enthusiastic Dance Instructor for the 2026-2027 season beginning September 14, 2026. We value energetic, engaging teachers who foster high-quality, positive dance education in a supportive, non-competitive environment.

We welcome instructors with strengths in Acro, Tap, Jazz, and Ballet; intermediate to advanced Tap experience is especially desirable. Acrobatic Arts certification is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching dance in a studio setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of Acro, Tap, Jazz, and Ballet
• Intermediate to advanced Tap experience strongly preferred
• Acrobatic Arts certification is a plus, but not required
• Professional, dependable, punctual, and organized
• Willingness to collaborate as part of a supportive teaching team
• Commitment to the 2026-2027 school-year season

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching positions and student progress in assigned styles.
• Assist with classes, substitutions, and program growth.
• Contribute to events, performances, and studio opportunities.
• Create engaging, structured, and encouraging classroom environments.
