Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking a part-time Dance Instructor for the Mukwonago location in Mukwonago, WI. You will implement our dance curriculum in a studio-style setting for preschool and school-age children, creating engaging lesson plans and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates have a background in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop or Poms and prior classroom instruction experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• The candidate must be at least 16 years of age and have a background in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop or Poms. Previous experience instructing in a classroom setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and carry out lesson plans.
• Create an environment that is welcoming, nurturing and genuine for all members and guests.
• Complete necessary handouts and student evaluations during the session.
• Participate in all required trainings and staff meetings.
• Maintain and follow all policies as outlined in the Associations Policy Manual.
• Cover teacher duties with a qualified substitute in the event of your absence or illness.
• Maintain positive public relations at all times with program participants and the community.
• Be responsible for the appearance of the classroom. Set up and put away equipment before and after class.
• Be responsible for strict adherence of all YMCA of Greater Waukesha County department policies and procedures related to safety and ensure compliance with local and state rules and regulations.
