Job summary

Smilebuilderz LLC is seeking a skilled Oral Surgery Dental Assistant with DANB certification to join our team. You will assist oral surgeons, prepare patients, take dental X-rays, and help maintain a safe, comfortable clinical environment.

You will document treatment records in the electronic health system, collaborate with dentists and staff, and participate in continuing education to stay current with industry standards and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• DANB Certification current.
• DAANCE certification within first 12 months of employment.
• Experience in oral surgery or related field preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dental environment.
• Proficient in using electronic health records and dental software.
• Willingness to adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and escort patients to the treatment area and obtain/update medical history and vital signs.
• Provide chairside assistance to oral surgeons during procedures.
• Take and process dental X-rays with proper positioning and radiation safety.
• Instruct patients on post-operative care and follow-up needs.
• Document patient information and treatment plans in electronic health records.
• Maintain dental equipment and report issues promptly.
• Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and staff to ensure comprehensive care.
• Engage in continuing education to stay current with advancements and guidelines.
• Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and DANB guidelines and regulations.
