Bermex is seeking a Certified Damage Prevention Technician to support safety and quality while driving, inspecting, and auditing gas lines. The role requires outdoor work in varied weather conditions and a focus on safe excavation practices.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, educating site workers, performing data collection, and coordinating with dispatchers. A valid driver's license and 21+ years of age are required.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• 1 year of continuous work with the same employer, and/or 6 or more months working outdoors.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with Code Rule 753 and promote safe excavation practices.
• Follow state and federal guidelines for damage prevention.
• Wear PPE and company uniform; follow safety and operational procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings and safety audits.
• Hand out educational materials to excavators and public.
• Visit third-party sites and construction zones regularly.
• Collect data using handheld tablet or similar device.
• Submit Work Orders on assigned dates and travel to sites as needed.
• Provide timely reports to management and escalate issues when needed.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report equipment issues promptly.

The position will play a key role in safety and quality while driving, parking, and performing audits on marked gas lines.
