Job summary

WhiteWater in Sealy, TX is seeking a field-based Utility Locator to protect public safety and pipeline integrity. You will locate and mark utilities, respond to one-call tickets, and coordinate contractor work across the site.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, 2+ years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Office. Travel, overtime, and live within 50 miles of Sealy may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic math.
• Willing to travel; overtime, weekends and call outs.
• Knowledge of reading blueprints, P&IDs and diagrams.
• Safe handling of flammable gases and PPE guidelines.
• Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
• Team player with good communication; fluent in English.
• Able to lift 75 lbs and work in elevated spaces.
• Willing to live within ~50 miles of Sealy, TX.
• Operator Qualification via Veriforce prior to responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark underground utilities; respond to one-call tickets.
• Maintain compliance records and document work with photos.
• Interpret maps and drawings as needed; coordinate with third parties.
• Oversee maintenance by contractors and inspect right-of-way areas.
• Conduct line patrols, inspections of roads/rail crossings and valves.
• Assist in developing O&M and site-specific procedures.
• Ensure work adheres to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate status to stakeholders and coordinate with landowners and officials.
• Occasional travel including nights and weekends; other duties as required.
