Southern California Edison is seeking a Dam Safety Engineer 1 to support field inspections and maintenance of dams and appurtenant structures in California. You will prepare regulatory reports, analyze instrumentation data, and serve as a subject matter expert on FERC and DSOD requirements.

The role includes training engineers and field staff, with a hybrid work mode and California residency. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across federal and state standards,

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or scientific/technical/math field.
• Experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
• Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

Responsabilidades

• Performs field inspections/construction support for dams and appurtenant structures to ensure compliance with FERC and DSOD regulations.
• Prepares critical dam safety regulatory reports and briefings for internal and regulatory needs; meets with regulatory agency representatives.
• Develops, implements, and leads maintenance strategies for individual dams; evaluates dam safety instrumentation data and recommends action levels.
• Acts as a subject matter expert on dam safety topics and provides guidance on FERC and DSOD regulations.
• Provides dam safety training to engineers, hydrographers, civil crew members, operators, managers, and others as needed.
