Job description
Overview

Technicians will be pre-wiring and installing security systems, including access control, CCTV and intrusion alarms. They will work with other technicians and Project Managers by completing and filing all project documentation and collaborating. Projects include a variety of commercial installations such as hospitals, airports, and corporate offices.

Responsibilities
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all security systems at customer sites.
  • Installations will include, but are not limited to: video surveillance systems, IP and analog cameras, wireless systems, access control panels, intrusion panels, magnetic locks, card readers, motion sensors, door contacts, electric door strikes, etc.
  • Perform assigned projects within scope, in a timely manner, and on budget.
  • Provide customers with system operation training.
  • Maintain concise daily records and follow operational standards and practices with excellent attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with Project Management and Field Technicians for project scheduling.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of installing commercial alarm systems.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) before starting: hard hat with chin straps, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, vest.
  • Physical requirements: able to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop; use hands to finger, handle, and type; reach with arms; good vision; ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; power tool use expected.
  • Skills: access control, alarm installation.
Benefits & Pay
  • Pay range: $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
  • Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be specific to elections, plans, or programs.
