Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, IT, or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in technology consulting, engineering, construction, telecommunications, security systems, IT infrastructure, or related field.
• Strong interest in low-voltage building systems and technology design.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with or willingness to learn AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, and documentation of low-voltage technology systems.
• Support the design of cabling, telecommunications, access control, video surveillance, wireless networking, and related systems.
• Participate in client meetings to gather project requirements and design criteria.
• Prepare design drawings, specifications, calculations, technology narratives, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate technology requirements with architects, engineers, owners, contractors, and design team members.
• Perform site surveys and assess conditions to document current infrastructure and project needs.
• Assist with construction administration, including reviewing submittals and RFIs, and site observations.
• Work on multiple projects while maintaining quality and schedule commitments.
• Collaborate with senior consultants and project managers on execution and client communications.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices in telecommunications and security.
