Job summary

Daiso in Honolulu is seeking a seasonal, part-time cashier at our Downtown location. You will greet customers and conduct all cash register procedures accurately and courteously to maximize sales and build strong customer relationships.

Flexibility is required with shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Training will be provided, and you’ll work in a fast-paced retail environment focused on safety, accuracy, and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Customer Service, Retail, and Cash Handling experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to complete fundamental cashiering training course.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• General knowledge and experience with computer systems and two-way radios.

DAISO Seasonal Cashier (Part-Time) - Downtown

Part Time Honolulu, HI, US

Salary Range: $17.00 To $18.00 Hourly

Hourly Pay : $17.00 to $18.00 per hour

This role is SEASONAL and will run until January 31, 2027.

Location: Downtown Daiso

Role Summary: The Cashier provides exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting every customer. They are able to perform all cash register procedures in an accurate, efficient, and courteous manner to maximize sales, cultivate strong customer relationships, and encourage company loyalty. The Cashier thinks and behaves in alignment with HouseMart’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

Working Conditions:

• Work Environment : Will work under regular store conditions. Occasional exposure to heat, dust, solvents, chemicals, paint, glue, etc.
• Equipment and Tools : Occasional use of store equipment including, but is not limited to two-way radios, hand tools, key machines, paint mixers, computer systems, printers, fax, and other miscellaneous hand tools.
• Physical Demands : Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 60lbs of material, in addition to lifting and maneuvering up to 100lbs. using a hand truck, on occasion.
