Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a stocker in the Dairy department to ensure shelves are stocked with milk, eggs, cheese, and more while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store. You will join a team focused on accuracy, speed, and friendly help for shoppers.

Responsibilities include stocking duties, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean, organized dairy area in a refrigerated environment.

Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, frequent heavy lifting, pushing and pulling, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, reaching, squatting, including reaching and lifting above shoulder height, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers. The average weight range of items lifted is 8 - 32 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds occasionally. You may receive assistance with heavy items, if available. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors with exposure to and working in cold (33 - 55) temperatures. Basic tools and equipment used include milk crates, dollies, egg racks, box cutter, hand/power jack, compactor, baler, and u-cart.; Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting
