Job summary

GENEX Cooperative seeks a Dairy Reproductive Specialist (AI Technician) in Clark County, WI to provide professional AI services and breeding program support to members and customers. This role is 99% dairy focused with minor beef emphasis and includes promoting GENEX semen, services, and programs to reach sales goals.

You will work independently, leveraging strong dairy knowledge and heat detection experience, while collaborating with team members to expand the GENEX footprint in the region.

Qualifications

• Strong dairy background with experience working with dairy cows.
• Degree in Agriculture or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience in heat detection on large farms.
• Aggressive sales and service mindset, self-motivated.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally; computer skills required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

GENEX Cooperative is seeking a Dairy Reproductive Specialist (AI Technician) in Clark County WI to provide professional and personalized Artificial Insemination service and breeding program assistance to members and customers that result in improved profit potential and satisfaction for them. In addition, sell GENEX semen, services, products, and programs to achieve sales goals and develop new business in sales area.

This position is 99% dairy emphasis and 1% beef emphasis.

Major Areas of Accountability

• Provide Artificial Insemination (AI) services to members and customers
• Provide Breeding Program assistance to members and customers
• Sell GENEX AI services, semen, products and programs
• Provide reproductive management expertise to members that will improve reproductive performance in their herds
• Consistently make farm visits with prospects to develop and gain new customers

Qualifications

• Strong dairy background with experience working with dairy cows
• Degree in Agriculture or equivalent experience is preferred
• Experience in heat detection on large farms
• Aggressive sales and service person who is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must possess communication and people skills
• Willingness to learn and develop both personally and professionally
• Computer skills are required; and ability to work with herd management software is a plus
