Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative is seeking a Skilled Machine Operator – Processor Operator in New York. The role involves setting up, operating, and cleaning equipment used to process raw milk and manufacture bottles for finished products.

Salary ranges from $23.00 to $28.00 per hour with a progressive pay scale; weekend and holiday work is required. Responsibilities include batch processing, maintaining accuracy on records, adhering to SOPs, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Minimum of a GED or High School diploma.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Skilled in Mechanical aptitude (set up, teardown physical connections).
• Applicants must be available to work all hours (all shifts) including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and work in cold temperatures and noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Batch products; record required information with 100% accuracy.
• Follow SOP procedures and complete required documentation/checklists; participate in continuous improvement.
• Maintain area cleanliness and report leaks or out-of-spec product; participate in waste reduction.
• Adhere to safety requirements including PPE; engage in facility safety efforts.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NYSDA, PMO, FDA; assist with SQF readiness and HACCP.
• Operate and monitor specified process equipment and systems.
