Job summary

National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) offers a 10-12 week summer internship in the Washington, D.C. metro area. You will explore the intersection of U.S.

dairy policy, regulatory affairs, and trade, learning from expert staff across government relations, regulatory affairs, trade, communications, and membership services. Interns contribute to projects on policy comments, data insights, and member communications, gaining exposure to Capitol Hill meetings and regulatory processes.

Qualifications

• Strong research, writing, and communication abilities required.
• Must be enrolled in a junior, senior, or graduate program in a relevant field.
• Ability to work in Washington D.C. metro area and commit to 10–12 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Assist regulatory and policy teams with research and data gathering.
• Review and summarize federal notices and legislation.
• Develop member-focused communications and education resources.
• Support National Dairy FARM Program events and tasks.
• Develop one-pagers and briefing materials.
• Attend meetings and take notes for the organization.
