Job summary

Civil Recruit is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I for our Tempe, AZ dairy processing plant. The role involves performing mechanical and electrical repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure continuous operation of all equipment in a fast-paced facility.

The position requires 3+ years in manufacturing, knowledge of electrical distribution and mechanical systems, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Understanding of engineering theory for plant operations.
• Knowledge of Homogenizers, Blow Molds, and Electrical Distribution (480V/60Hz/3 Phase).
• Ability to read technical manuals, plant drawings and schematics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough walkthroughs and assessments of equipment in operation and during shutdowns.
• Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning and out-of-service equipment.
• Provide mechanical assistance to plant Operators during troubleshooting and repairs.
• Monitor and maintain plant systems to operate equipment.
• Be available to work shifts as required.
