Job summary

DFAMILK is seeking an HTST/RO Operator to operate and maintain HTST pasteurization and RO ultrafiltration systems in a Houston dairy processing facility. You will monitor temps, pressures, and flows to ensure proper heating, holding, and cooling of milk and whey products.

You will conduct CIP cleaning, perform QA tests, and document data. Strong attention to detail and food safety are essential; bilingual Spanish/English is preferred for multi-language environments.

Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of lock-out/tag-out safety procedures.
• Reading and interpreting equipment schematics.
• Ability to operate process controls on computer systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Start up and operate HTST pasteurization equipment according to production schedules.
• Monitor temperatures, pressure, and flow rates to ensure proper heating, holding, and cooling of milk.
• Operate and monitor RO ultrafiltration systems and perform CIP cleaning.
• Record and document process data, maintenance activities, and QA results accurately.
• Perform basic maintenance and report major issues to maintenance staff.
• Follow strict sanitation procedures to keep equipment and work areas clean.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist in resolving production problems with QA, maintenance, and production teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
