Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, efficient service in our Fresh departments. You will connect with customers, share product knowledge, and help them find what they need while keeping displays fresh and visually appealing.

You will stock, rotate, and merchandise products, work across departments such as Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, and use store technology to complete tasks accurately. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a positive, active daily pace.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You'll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates


• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need


• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays


• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards


• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately


• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures


• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery


• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
