Job summary

The Dairy Designer II / Scientist II role is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on-site. Lead dairy and dairy alternative product development from concept through commercialization, utilizing strong project planning, creativity, innovation, and presentation skills to deliver best-in-class solutions for customers.

Collaborate with Production, QA/QC, and Innovation teams; mentor junior staff; translate customer needs into scalable processes while meeting regulatory and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related discipline.
• Minimum seven years in the food/ingredient/flavor/consumer products industry, ideally with dairy/dairy alternatives.
• Experience taking products from concept through prototype, scale-up, and commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Lead dairy and dairy alternative product development from concept through commercialization.
• Develop finished product formulations meeting sensory, regulatory, stability, cost, and customer requirements.
• Partner with Production, QA/QC to execute scale-up trials and support launches.
• Apply taste/texture design to create innovative prototypes for customers.
• Mentor Associate Designers, Associate Scientists, and Trainee colleagues.
• Deliver demonstrations, presentations, and workshops to build customer confidence.
