Job summary

Model Dairy LLC in California is seeking an employee to perform a variety of dairy processing tasks and quality checks during a swing shift (1:30 pm–10:00 pm). You will operate and monitor equipment, assist in cottage cheese production, and ensure packaging accuracy and safety standards.

The role involves cleaning, sanitation, and record keeping (lot numbers, weights) with data entry in EMRS and spreadsheets. This is an Equal Opportunity Employer and requires a High School diploma or better.

• Must be able to work swing shift 1:30 pm–10:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and sanitize machine at the start of shift.
• Taste and check temperature of product.
• Start machine and observe operation to detect malfunctions.
• Assist in cooking cottage cheese.
• Set sour cream.
• Stop machine and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Keep records of lot numbers for cartons, lids, buckets and ingredients.
• Make minor adjustments or repairs (valves, guides, or damaged containers).
• Inspect filled containers and weight to ensure packaging per specs.
• Feed product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices; unload packaged product.
• Replenish packaging supplies (plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, ink, buckets, labels).
• Place supplies on spindles or feeding devices.
• Position and hold container in machine.
• Rinse, disassemble, wash, sanitize and reassemble machines and vats; CIP cleaning.
• Stir or mix product with a shovel.
• Keep warehouses organized and clean.
• Rotate product by First In, First Out.
• Dispense and handle chemicals safely.
• Maintain proper code dates and weights for product.
• Data entry in EMRS, spreadsheets, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
