  • Prepare seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
  • Implement the period promotional plan for the department.
  • Assist management with budget, P&L reviews and action on financial reports.
  • Schedule price changes and maintain shelf tags and signage.
  • Plan and supervise inventory processes and address discrepancies.
  • Train staff on inventory/stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering.
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and maintain temperature logs.
  • Reinforce safety programs and report safety risks or incidents.
  • Notify management of accidents and security issues.
  • Report all safety risks or illegal activity to management.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts constructively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
  • Provide support to minors, people with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential duties with or without accommodation.

  • Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
  • Inform customers of dairy specials.
  • Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results.
  • Understand the store's layout and be able to locate products.
  • Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
  • Inform and educate department associates about current, upcoming and special in-store promotions, especially promotions or ads that affect the Dairy department.
  • Prepare and submit seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
  • Implement the period promotional plan for the department.
  • Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews, and take appropriate action on all financial reports.
  • Schedule daily, weekly and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs.
  • Plan and organize the inventory process, maintain awareness; note any discrepancies.
  • Train department associates on inventory/stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering.
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management of any items in need of repair.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  • Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
  • Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
  • Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
