The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years in retail or grocery (dairy preferred), and knowledge of food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred Associate or Bachelor in related field.
• ServSafe or similar food safety certification.
• Minimum 3–5 years in retail or grocery, preferably dairy.
• 1–2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with inventory control, ordering, and department operations.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily operations of the dairy department to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Supervise and train dairy clerks to maintain high standards of customer service and department performance.
• Manage inventory levels, order products, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
• Maintain storage conditions, including temperature control, cleanliness, and organization, to ensure product quality and safety.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, addressing any issues promptly.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and orders professionally to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Drive department sales and achieve labor and profitability goals through effective merchandising and promotional strategies.
• Monitor and track department performance metrics, including sales and profitability, to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments and management to align department goals with overall store objectives.
• Maintain strong communication and coordination within the team to ensure smooth department operations.
