Qualifications

• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction; counting and recording figures.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; communicate needs clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, whether in the designated department or elsewhere in the store.
• Learn customers’ names and address them by name whenever possible.
• Assist customers by escorting to products, securing items out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing along suggestions.
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to callers.
• Rotate and replenish merchandise and maintain high quality standards.
• Unload trucks and place products in appropriate storage areas.
• Keep the department clean, faces merchandise, build end caps and display as needed.
• Order products and supplies requested by the department manager; ensure storage is organized and safe.
• Maintain personal hygiene and dress per guidelines; adhere to company policies; report to work on time.
• Participate in inventories and assist in other store areas as needed.
