Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston’s 051 Cullen store seeks a Dairy Deli Frozen Clerk to provide friendly, courteous service, restock and organize dairy and frozen displays, and maintain a clean, safe department.

You will assist customers, rotate displays and follow food-safety policies in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with their purchases.
• Clean display cases and shelves.
• Clean, fill and rotate the self-serve displays within the Dairy Deli Frozen Department.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to food safety standards and company policies.
