Job summary

Bristol Farms in Newport Beach is seeking a Dairy/Deli Clerk to support our Dairy/Deli and Grocery departments. The role focuses on accurate stocking, order fulfillment, and maintaining product quality by checking expiration dates and rotating stock.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong customer service, reliability, and the ability to adapt to daily tasks. High school diploma or GED is preferred, with 1–3 months of related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Stocks shelves, dairy-case, and other Dairy/Deli & Grocery areas.

• Ensures items in the dairy box are in-date and within expiration date.
• Rotates stock to maintain high quality, fresh merchandise at all times.
• Applies daily price changes before store opens to maintain price integrity.
• Monitors pull dates on Dairy/Deli & Grocery merchandise.

Job Title: Dairy/Deli Clerk

Department: Dairy/Deli

Reports To: Dairy/Deli Manager

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Dairy/Deli Clerkis responsible for providing service that exceeds the expectations of customers by performing the following duties (other duties may be assigned):

• Clerk stocks shelves, dairy-case, and other areas of the Dairy/Deli & Grocery Departments
• Fills customer orders by obtaining items from shelves, freezers, coolers, bins, tables, or containers
• Assures that all items in the dairy box are in-code and well within their expiration date
• Rotates stock to assure high quality, fresh merchandise at all times
• Assures daily price changes are done accurately & completed before store opens; maintaining price integrity at all times
• Monitors pull dates on all Dairy/Deli & Grocery merchandise

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the Dairy/Deli Clerk is regularly required to stand for long periods; walk; frequent use of hands; hands to finger; and handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.The Dairy/Deli Clerk occasionally is required to reach with hands and arms.The Dairy/Deli Clerk is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The individual must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and color vision.
