Job summary

ShopRite of Edgewater Commons in Edgewater, NJ is seeking a Dairy Clerk to price, stock and rotate merchandise in the Dairy Department while providing friendly, efficient service and maintaining a neat, appealing department.

You’ll work in varying temperatures, lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long shifts, and follow all safety and QA standards. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and a willingness to learn our company policies and customer service priorities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to handle dairy products safely and wash hands per QA standards.
• Ability to climb a ladder to reach overhead storage.
• Ability to work in refrigerated areas for extended periods.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to cooperate with others and adhere to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and equipment.
• Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
• Lift and move merchandise as required (25–50 lbs).
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise to Dairy Department.
• Stand for the duration of the shift in designated work area.
• Follow QA and safety regulations and company policies.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Price items accurately and ensure attractive signage.
• Maintain price labels and assist with inventory control.
