Job summary

ShopRite Lyndhurst is hiring a Dairy Clerk to price, stock, and rotate merchandise in the Dairy Department while delivering a great customer experience. You will keep the department neat, clean, and visually appealing and perform tasks efficiently and safely according to company policy.

The role requires English proficiency, basic math, physical stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The position supports ShopRite’s service priorities of safety, friendliness, presentation, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and with dairy products.
• Ability to operate in refrigerated and high-moisture areas.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment per QA standards.
• Stock and rotate Dairy merchandise and ensure proper labeling.
• Price items accurately and ensure shelf signs are attractive and legible.
• Record markups/markdowns and manage inventory per company policies.
• Assist Dairy Manager and provide prompt, courteous service to customers.
• Understand product locations and help customers find items.
• Maintain communication within the department and adhere to safety requirements.
