Job summary

Harmons Grocery in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Dairy Associate to help maintain quality, freshness, and product assortment in the dairy department. You will receive, stock, rotate products, handle special orders, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include following store policies, ensuring product quality, maintaining inventory, verifying pricing and signage, keeping the dairy area clean, and supporting the Dairy Manager with ordering to meet demand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail or grocery environment is a plus.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math and product rotation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures.
• Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services provided by the dairy department.
• Maintains the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the dairy department.
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items.
• Ensures the dairy department is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance.
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers.
• Receives, stores, and stocks dairy products including milk, eggs, juice, yogurt, butter, etc.
• Pulls out of date product from the dairy shelves.
• Assists Dairy Manager with ordering product to meet the needs of the dairy department based on past and projected sales.
• Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Sets a professional and positive example to others.
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the store as a whole.

$15.00 - $18.46 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the quality, freshness, and product assortment is maintained in the dairy department. This person will be receiving, stocking, and rotating product, taking special orders, and providing exceptional customer service.
