Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently hold a State of Ohio Substitute Teaching License.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
• Experience working with students or in an urban environment is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction and help maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment.
• Supervise students throughout the school day (classroom, hallways, playground, cafeteria).
• Follow provided lesson plans and school procedures.
• Utilize school-approved curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students.
• Build positive relationships with students and school staff.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation

This position is paid at a daily rate of $130 per day. Factors which may affect starting pay may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
