Job summary

Addus HomeCare is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Aide to support seniors and people with disabilities, providing essential daily living assistance. The role offers flexible hours and a path to a meaningful career within a growing home care leader.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care and light house chores, and report changes in client conditions while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Nurturing and compassionate nature with the desire to care for others.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well organized.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be a Certified Home Health or Personal Care Aide.

Responsibilities

• Follow specific care plans for clients and report on completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs of the client (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Run essential errands.
• Assist client with the self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report any changes in client's condition.
• Maintain regular, predictable, consistent attendance and be flexible to meet department needs.
• Follow all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements.
• Abide by all regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
