Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but substitute Teacher Assistants must meet the general qualifications of teacher assistant as provided in § 16-11.2-2.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Must pass a national background check.

Responsibilities

• Implement teacher lesson plans and administrator directives with fidelity and efficiency.
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students.
• Supervise student activities such as lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal.
• Perform administrative services for the classroom teacher/Principal or designee.
• Assist in Main Office as directed by Principal or designee.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff personnel information.
• Be a positive role model for students.
• Ability to be flexible with job assignments as needed.
• Assume responsibility for other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
