Job summary

VOLTO Consulting is seeking an experienced D365 ERP specialist in Greensboro, NC, onsite, to drive architecture, security, workflows, and environment management for Finance and Supply Chain modules.

The role requires hands-on AX 2012 knowledge, extensive integration capabilities, and experience with ISV products. You will lead data migration, upgrade activities, and ALM using Azure DevOps in a fast-paced consulting setting.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on D365 ERP expertise across Finance and SCM modules.
• Experience with AX 2012 architecture, AOT, MorphX, X++, and upgrades.
• Strong integration skills with data entities, OData, REST/SOAP, and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot D365 ERP solutions including security, workflows, and batch processing.
• Apply procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, inventory, and manufacturing knowledge to real projects.
• Work with AX 2012-era components and plan migrations to D365.
• Build and troubleshoot integrations using Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Dataverse connections.
• Coordinate ISV integrations, version compatibility, and vendor fixes/upgrades.
• Lead data migration, data packages, validation, and upgrade activities using Lifecycle Services.
• Oversee ALM practices with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and production support.

D365 ERP expertise: Strong hands-on knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, including architecture, security, workflows, batch processing, reporting, and environment management.

Functional process knowledge: Sound understanding of procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, inventory and warehouse management, manufacturing, product information management, master planning, costing, and core finance processes.

AX 2012 experience: Working knowledge of AX 2012 R2/R3 architecture, AOT, MorphX, X++, overlayering, batch framework, services/AIF, and analysis and remediation of legacy customizations.

Integration capability: Ability to design, develop, and troubleshoot synchronous and asynchronous integrations using data entities, OData, REST/SOAP services, custom services, recurring/batch data APIs, business events, Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Power Platform/Dataverse dual-write.

ISV solution integration: Experience integrating and supporting third-party/ISV products, assessing models and package dependencies, mapping data and business processes, managing version compatibility, and coordinating fixes and upgrades with vendors.

Data migration and upgrades: Expertise in Data Management Framework, data entities, configuration and data packages, validation and reconciliation, performance tuning, and AX 2012-to-D365 code/data upgrade activities using Lifecycle Services.

ALM, quality, and support: Proficiency with Azure DevOps, source control, branching, build and release pipelines, deployable packages, automated testing, debugging, monitoring, code reviews, performance optimization, and production incident/root-cause analysis.
