Job summary

Paladin Consulting in The Woodlands, TX, is seeking a seasoned Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations specialist for a hybrid, 6-12 month engagement. The role requires acute expertise in GL, AP, AR, cash management, and other core F&O modules, with extensive ERP implementation experience.

You will lead workshops, design configurations, and coordinate data migration and testing efforts, ensuring smooth go-live and stabilization across multi-company environments.

Qualifications

• 15+ years hands-on Dynamics AX/365 F&O experience.
• 3–5 full lifecycle ERP implementations including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, training, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live support.
• Deep functional knowledge of D365 F&O finance modules: GL, AP, AR, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Procure to Pay, Project Accounting/Operations, Costing, Financial Reporting.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into functional designs, process flows, configuration decisions, and test scenarios.
• Knowledge of multi-company, multi-currency, tax, banking, consolidations, revenue recognition, and financial dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements and identify gaps.
• Prepare fit-gap analyses, functional design documents, business process flows, and configuration workbooks.
• Configure D365 F&O modules based on approved design.
• Support data migration activities including mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover readiness.
• Coordinate and execute CRP, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Support end-user training, go-live readiness, production cutover, and stabilization.

Work Location: Local to The Woodlands (hybrid)

Duration: 6-12 months with option to extend

Core Experience

• 15+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience.
• Experience with at least 3–5 full lifecycle ERP implementations, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, training, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live support.
• Deep functional knowledge of D365 Finance modules, especially:
• General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash and Bank Management, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Procurement, Project Accounting / Project Operations, Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting

Finance and Business Process Knowledge

• Strong understanding of finance transformation, shared services, and enterprise finance operations.
• Experience designing and improving end-to-end business processes such as:
• Procure to Pay
• Order to Cash
• Record to Report
• Project Quote to Invoice
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional designs, process flows, configuration decisions, and test scenarios.

• Experience supporting integrations with banking, tax, reporting, or third-party finance solutions such as SK Global, Avalara, invoice capture, or similar tools.
• Ability to work closely with technical teams on extensions, integrations, data entities, custom reports, and security roles.
• Familiarity with data migration tools, OData, APIs, Excel add-ins, and D365 data management framework.
