Skyworks Solutions, Inc. seeks a D1 Shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead up to 25 technicians across Fab, Fab Finish and Test, ensuring tool availability aligns with production schedules.

You will direct maintenance priorities, manage costs, implement preventative maintenance, mentor staff, and uphold safety and LEAN practices. This role reports to the Director of Equipment Engineering within the Engineering Department.

Qualificações

• BS degree in Engineering or Management/Business; 5+ years relevant work experience managing or leading a team of technicians in a Fab environment
• Experience leading, organizing and facilitating cross functional project teams is required
• Experience developing and managing equipment performance metrics including M-Ratio, MTTF, GTG times, and Availability.
• Strong communication and presentation skills required. Experience using MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing, 5S controls, Continuous Improvement, and Root Cause Analysis are required
• ERT certified with leadership level emergency response experience

• Ensure PPE use, follow LOTO, enforce chemical handling and cleanroom safety
• Staffing responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new technicians and PM Specialists
• Lead LEAN manufacturing efforts, 5S, CI, and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with equipment engineers to resolve problems and mentor technicians
• Perform duties as ERT leaders for their shift with leadership-level emergency response experience
• Attend weekly staff meetings (on-site or virtual)
• Report to the Director of Equipment Engineering within the Engineering Department

Summary:The D1 Shift Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing up to 25 equipment technicians in Fab, Fab Finish and Test, and responsible for delivering the tool availability required for Operations to meet their production schedule. The main duties will be to direct the efforts of the equipment maintenance group by setting and communicating priorities and directing all maintenance activity. The Maintenance Supervisor and Production Supervisors partner as a team to manage all aspects of the shift.

• Own all aspects of performance management, the year-end review process, and career development for the technical staff on that shift
• On a daily basis responsible for planning and implementing improvement initiatives that increase tool availability and decrease the variability of downtime
• Responsible for managing the cost of maintenance on his or her shift, including controlling overtime and spare parts usage
• Manage Preventative Maintenance schedules and coordinate schedules with Equipment Engineering
• Responsible for a technical training plan that ensures all technicians achieve their required certifications on time
• Ensuring all technicians use the required PPE, use LOTO as specified, reinforce all regulations involving chemical handling, equipment safety, and cleanroom protocol, and foster an accident-free work environment
• Responsible for staffing, including interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding new technicians and PM Specialists on shift
• Experience with leading LEAN manufacturing efforts, 5S controls, Continuous Improvement, and Root Cause Analysis are required
• Expected to work closely with the equipment engineers to resolve problems, highlight issues, and ensure technicians have the technical mentorship to get trained and certified
• Perform duties as ERT leaders for their shift, and the candidate must be ERT certified with experience in emergency response at a leadership level
• Off shift meetings and training are required
• Will report directly to the Director of Equipment Engineering and be a full member of the Engineering Department staff

Specific Applicable Toolsets

• Photolithography (steppers, tracks), HDP Etchers, Sputter PVD, Electroplating, Implant, CVD, Wet Etch, Ash, Backend Finish Processes, Metrology, Laser Dicing, Backside Grind, Proprietary Lift-Off Equipment, metal Evaporators, and more
• Candidate must be comfortable managing both brand new equipment and legacy machines

Work Schedule

D1 shift works every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday with alternating Wednesdays (4 on, 3 off; 3 on, 4 off). The shift starts at 6:00am (pass down with dayshift) and ends at 6:30pm. At times the supervisor will be asked to vary hours to communicate and coordinate with engineering who work Monday through Friday. The supervisor must be able to attend one weekly staff meeting on Wednesday morning, but virtual attendance is acceptable (MS Teams).

Required Experience and Skills

Qualifications

• BS degree (preferred) in Engineering or Management/Business coupled with industry experience is ideal
• Other combinations of experience and education will be considered
• A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience managing or leading a team of technicians in a Fab environment
• Experience leading, organizing and facilitating cross functional project teams is required
• Experience developing and managing equipment performance metrics including M-Ratio, MTTF, GTG times, and Availability. Experience identifying trends in tool performance and driving improvement
• Strong communication and presentation skills required. Experience using basic office applications like MS Excel , PowerPoint, Word, etc. is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Equipment Engineering experience is a plus
• Previous hands-on experience as a maintenance or equipment service technician is a plus
• Experience in Semiconductor maintenance a strongplus

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$96,600 -$203,300 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
