Job summary

Luxottica in Dallas is seeking a Distribution Clerk to receive, stock, pick, and prepare merchandise for shipment to stores from our Distribution Center.

The role requires basic math, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand/walk up to 10 hours, and to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts while keeping accurate inventory.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
• Strong numerical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/walk for up to 10 hours.
• Experience communicating with coworkers and cooperating in a DC setting.
• Experience using material handling equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming merchandise and processes it according to procedures.
• Stocks merchandise to the correct locations within the DC.
• Picks merchandise per procedures and replenishment schedule.
• Prepares merchandise for new stores and shipment to stores/customers.
• Completes assigned projects from DC Supervisor/Manager.

The Distribution Clerk provides merchandise that is stored in the Distribution Center for distribution to new and existing stores.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives incoming merchandise/product.
• Processes merchandise/product per the established procedures.
• Stocks merchandise/product to the appropriate location.
• Picks merchandise per the established procedures and replenishment schedule.
• Prepares merchandise/product for new stores.
• Prepares merchandise/product for shipment.
• Completes projects as assigned by DC Supervisor and/or Manager.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ year(s) of executive experience
• Excellent mathematical aptitude/numerical recognition
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by Supervisors/Manager
• Ability to communicate/cooperate with DC associates
• Ability to use material handling equipment (pallet jacks, carts, etc.)
• Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work in a stand/walk position for up to 10 hours
• Ability to interact professionally with both corporate and non-corporate personnel
• Prior experience in distribution center/warehouse preferred
• Optical knowledge and/or worked in a production environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
