Akers Packaging Service Group is seeking a Die Cutter 2nd Helper to assist the operator on a Rotary Die Cutter machine in Middletown, Ohio. The role focuses on ensuring quality before the product moves to the Folder Gluer and involves setup, load management, ink checks, and close collaboration with the operator.

The position requires adherence to safety and cleanliness, willingness to work overtime, and reliable attendance on a 3rd shift schedule Sunday night through Friday morning.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• GED or high school diploma.
• 3rd shift Sunday night thru Friday morning 11:00pm to 7:00am

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of machine to Job Ticket specifications.
• Set up load former and ensure bottom sheets are at the machine.
• Ensure cutting dies are at the machine and put away after use.
• Ensure ink is at the machine and at the proper down.
• Check ink viscosity.
• Assist operator with bottom sheet inserter and monitor quality.
• Print load tags for orders.
• Maintain housekeeping for safety and cleanliness between orders.

Position Summary

The Die Cutter 2 nd Helper assists the Operator on the Rotary Die Cutter machine. This machine cuts, prints, and scores corrugated sheets using rotary cutting dies. The 2 nd Helper is the last set of eyes on the product before it goes to the Folder Gluer and must have a sharp eye for quality.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assists with setup of machine to Factory Job Ticket specifications
• Sets up load former when in use makes sure bottom sheets are at the machine
• Makes sure cutting dies are at the machine and put away after use
• Makes sure ink is at the machine and at the proper down
• Checks ink viscosity
• Assists operator with the bottom sheet inserter as well as monitoring for quality
• Prints load tags for orders
• Performs housekeeping duties as necessary between orders and at end of shift to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Ability to work in excess of 40 hours, as business needs arise
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Any other task or duty that is deemed necessary by management.
