The Cytotechnologist will perform cytologic evaluation of gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens, prepare and stain slides, and participate in FNA evaluation and ROSE procedures, collaborating with pathologists and staff in an academic environment.

Setting: Health System / Hospital Laboratory

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay: $37-$60/hour, based on experience

The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for:

• Performing cytologic evaluation and screening of gynecologic and non‑gynecologic specimens
• Preparing, staining, screening and evaluating cytology specimens according to established protocols
• Participating in FNA evaluation and receiving training in ROSE procedures
• Collaborating with pathologists and laboratory staff
• Maintaining quality standards and following laboratory, safety and regulatory requirements
• Participating in ongoing education and professional development within an academic setting

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Cytotechnology or related field, as applicable
• ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) certification OR eligibility to obtain certification upon hire
• Cytology training highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
