CareerArc in Holyoke, MA is seeking a Cytotechnologist to join the Holyoke Medical Center Laboratory. You will prepare, process, and screen cytologic specimens in accordance with department policies and center standards.
The role requires ASCP Cytotechnologist certification, a Bachelor's degree, and at least two years of recent cytology experience. You will maintain equipment, assist pathologists, and contribute to continuous quality improvement in a collaborative team.
Responsible for the preparation, processing, and screening of cytologic specimens in compliance with policies of the department and the medical center. Duties include, but not limited to, prepare reagents for procedures#.. .# Dupreparing reagents for procedures; performing cytology prep, performing routine maintenance on lab instruments and equipment;#maintaining supplies; assisting pathologist and/or radiologist with cytology‑related procedures, maintaining departmental statistics, overseeing the CAP cytopathology checklist.
